Ab sofort gibt es vier neue Firmware-Updates:

E-M1II; Firmware 2.0

  • New art filter [Bleach Bypass] has been added.
  • Possible to use focus stacking photography with „M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO“.
  • Es wurden kleinere, quadratische AF-Felder hinzugefügt.
  • Possible to set a maximum of 35 pre-shutter frames for Pro Capture shooting.
  • Während des ProCapture zeigt die Kamera nun durch die rote Schreibanzeige links oben an, dass ProCapture läuft.
  • „Flicker Scan“ has been added so it is possible to reduce flickering by fine adjustment of shutter speed while looking at the live view when using electronic shutter.
  • Fisheye compensation photography has been added for use of M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO. You can view the effects in live view while shooting images.
  • Possible to set zoom ratio during playback. Also, added pixel equivalence display to zoom ratio.
  • Pro Capture funktioniert nun auch mit FT-Optiken!!!!!
  • Display of remaining battery power has been improved.
  • Response when assigning AF to AEL/AFL button has been improved.
  • Stability of camera operation when using OLYMPUS Capture has been improved.
  • Stability of image stabilizer operation when shooting video has been improved.
  • Performance of C-AF when shooting still images has been improved.
  • Color reproduction of photographed images has been improved.
  • Stability of operation when shooting still images has been improved.
  • Corrected issue of autofocus (AF) function not operating correctly when using the „LEICA DG ELMARIT 200mm F2.8 / POWER O.I.S. (H-ES200)“ interchangeable lens produced by Panasonic.

Unbedingt VOR dem Updaten den Olympus-Viewer und den Updater aktualisieren. Viewer ist aktuell 2.4 und Updater ist aktuell 2.1. Beide Updates sind erst heute freigeschaltet worden! Das Update funktioniert zwar auch mit den älteren Versionen, aber dann holpert es etwas.

Es wurde nicht nur der C-AF verbessert, sondern generell der Phasen-AF. Das macht sich vor allem bei FT-Optiken bemerkbar, die vor allem bei schlechtem Licht besser und schneller fokussieren. Für alle FT-Besitzer ist das Update ein „MUST“.

Es wurde die Gewichtung Vordergrund/Hintergrund beim AF deutlich in Richtung „Nearest is best“ geändert. Was das für Auswirkungen bei Feldergruppen und in den verschiedenen AF-Modi hat, muss erst noch erforscht werden.

E-M1: Firmware 4.4.

PEN-F: Firmware 3.0

  • New art filter [Bleach Bypass] has been added.
  • Possible to set shading effects for Color Creator and Color Profile Control.
  • Possible to use OLYMPUS Digital Camera Updater to save monochrome profiles and color profiles of images you like to the camera’s monochrome profiles and color profiles.
  • Corrected issue of autofocus (AF) function not operating correctly when using the „LEICA DG ELMARIT 200mm F2.8 / POWER O.I.S. (H-ES200)“ interchangeable lens produced by Panasonic.

E-M5II: Firmware 4.0

  • New art filter [Bleach Bypass] has been added.
  • Fokus Stacking in der Kamera, auch mit dem 12-100
  • Corrected issue of autofocus (AF) function not operating correctly when using the „LEICA DG ELMARIT 200mm F2.8 / POWER O.I.S. (H-ES200)“ interchangeable lens produced by Panasonic.

Was sonst noch an versteckten Features durch die FW-Updates geändert wurde, wird sich in den nächsten Tagen herausstellen.
