Then I noticed the camera was wet all over and so was the lens (11-22mm). I took the other lens out of the bag — 50-200 plus t/c and it was also wet. the inside of the bag had a pool of water at the bottom that both camera and lenses had been sitting in for a few days. I didn’t think I had put my water bottle in the camera bag, but I must have and it leaked….. THEN I put the camera up to my eye to take a photo and nearly gagged —- it wasn’t water all over my camera and lenses…….. my @#$%#$@ dog had PEED all over the camera and lenses and camera bag some days before….. I was at a nature preserve when I discovered this so I went to the water fountain and wet a cloth to wipe down the camera – but it still stunk and I realized that wiping it down was not going to get into where the stinkin‘ dog pee had already dried —- so I took out the battery and flash card, turned the water on and held the camera and lens under the faucet for 10 minutes….. then I took the other lens and did the same thing – opening and closing it to make sure I got water everywhere….. At this point, I really didn’t care if I wrecked the camera or lenses because I wasn’t going to use them again unless I got them clean and got that smell out anyway. [Can you imagine the Oly service people getting a job to clean dog pee out of the camera??] I even took the viewfinder thingy off before I held the camera under the faucet. It was almost worth it just to hear the gasps from the other folks in the preserve as I held the camera under the faucet and opened and closed doors and moved the focus ring in and out….. I must admit, I became a little worried myself after I started wiping the water off and realized I had indeed gotten water into every part of the camera that I could see….. but not to worry — camera and lenses are fine now. camera bag is currently in washer – will it hold up or end up in the trash?? Dog is in the doghouse….. DAS würde ich nicht machen. Dichtungen hin oder her, beim CF-Fach und Kartenfach befinden sich die Dichtungen bei den Deckeln, nicht irgendwo im Inneren. Von daher wundert mich das alles schon ein bißchen. Die Hundepisse kann ja nicht hineingelaufen sein. Nach der groben Aussenreinigung unter fliessendem Wasser hätte der Autor der netten Geschichte die Ränder der Abdeckungen und Dichtungen mit einem feuchten Tuch nachwischen kö¶nnen. Damit hätte er/sie das Innenleben der Kamera nicht fahrlässig/mutwillig gefährdet.
