Das ist eine verdammt gute Nachricht. Hö¶here Empfindlichkeit, hö¶here Dynamik und was Farbperformance angeht gehts am I-CCD (E-400) vorbei Richtung FFT-CCD (E-1, E-300 u. E-500). Maicovicon mußte schlichtweg nicht nur den NMOS schneller machen sondern auch noch mehr aus dem weitestgehend noch unausgeschö¶pften Potential des NMOS-Imager-Sensors herausholen. Am Ende stürzt dieser Sensor sogar den FFT-CCD von Kodak von seinem Thron.
